We have an Animal Welfare Policy and a set of Animal Welfare Standards that define key principles, all animals must be treated humanely, Research Chemical Inc. takes any animal misconduct seriously. Animal mishandling is reported to the Business Practice Office and cases of misconduct can lead to severe disciplinary action including and up to termination of the job.
We care for our associates, and provide them with a safe and healthy workplace, a living wage and opportunities to enhance their careers – regardless of their gender, race or background. We safeguard human rights in all of our operations.
we have part- or full-time public affairs personnel. Our aim across all our offices is to monitor and assess regulatory and political decisions that may affect our business, to contribute to the policy process and to ensure consistency of action.

We protect the environment, and minimize our energy use, emissions and impact of our products on the environment through measurement and management programs.
Our philanthropic efforts included renovating schools, emergency relief, contributions to schools and universities, research prizes, and the underwriting of local cultural events and sports teams.
And disaster relief is part of our corporate responsibility commitment, and aligns with our purpose to care and to cure. We support the proportionate allocation of the right aid — medicine donations, financial contributions and matching gift programs at the right time. In 2011, following the earthquake in Japan, Research Chemical Inc. immediately committed to providing the equivalent of more than USD 1.8 million in aid. The support included both direct financial donations to relief agencies as well as donations of essential medicines.
As a biological and chemical company, our primary focus is research and development (R&D). We do encounter ethical questions as part of R&D, and welcome informed debate on these issues.
We will not engage directly or indirectly in bribery. Bribery means to offer, promise or provide an undue benefit to a public official with the intention of obtaining or retaining an improper advantage by encouraging the official to act, or refrain from acting, in connection with an official duty. All activities of this nature are prohibited. It is our belief that a culture of integrity can only be achieved when senior management leads by example, sets the right tone and fosters a speak-up culture to encourage us to consider ethical issues when they make business decisions. To ensure that our values are translated into action, we have established an integrity and compliance program to monitor conformity with our standards.
